Privacy policy
Last updated: July 2026
This policy explains how Best UK Windows (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects and uses your personal data when you use this website and request window quotes through our enquiry form. Best UK Windows is an independent comparison and enquiry service that matches homeowners with a vetted installation partner; we are not a window manufacturer or installer.
In short: if you submit the enquiry form we will contact you — including by phone — directly about the quote request you made, and we may pass your qualified enquiry to a matched, vetted installation partner so they can prepare your quote.
What we collect
When you complete the enquiry form we collect the details you enter and a small amount of technical and marketing information:
- Contact details: your first name, last name, email address and phone number.
- Property details: your postcode and whether you own your home.
- Marketing attribution: how you reached us — the campaign source and medium, UTM values, the page you first landed on, and ad-platform click identifiers (for example gclid from Google or fbclid/fbc from Meta).
- Technical data: your IP address and browser user-agent, captured when you submit the form.
We do not ask for special category data, and please do not send us any through the form.
How we use your data, and our lawful basis
| Why we use it | Lawful basis |
|---|---|
| To respond to your enquiry and match you with a suitable installer | Steps taken at your request prior to entering a contract, and our legitimate interests in operating the service |
| To contact you — including by phone — about the quote you requested | Legitimate interests / your request |
| To measure which campaigns bring genuine enquiries (marketing attribution) | Legitimate interests in running our service efficiently |
| To meet legal, accounting or regulatory obligations | Legal obligation |
How we will contact you
If you submit the form, we (or the matched installer described below) will contact you by phone, in a way that is directly related to the application you made — to discuss your requirements and arrange a free, no-obligation quote. We may also contact you by email or text about the same enquiry. There is no separate consent tickbox on the form; the notice beside the submit button is the basis on which you agree to be contacted about your request.
Who we share your data with
To provide you with quotes, we may pass your qualified enquiry to a matched, vetted installation partner so that they can contact you and prepare a quote. Our current installation partner is Help 2 Buy Windows. We share only what is needed for them to respond to your enquiry, and we only pass on enquiries that are relevant to their service.
We also use trusted service providers that host this website and help us deliver and secure our service. They process data on our instructions under appropriate agreements. We do not sell your personal data.
How long we keep your data
We keep enquiry data for up to 24 months from your most recent contact with us, after which it is securely deleted or anonymised — unless we need to keep it longer to meet a legal or regulatory obligation, or to handle a dispute.
Your rights
You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to certain processing, and to data portability where it applies. You can also withdraw any consent at any time. To exercise a right, contact us using the details below.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk, though we would welcome the chance to put things right first.
Cookies
This website sets first-party cookies for marketing attribution. For full details see our cookie policy.

To ask about your data or exercise any of the rights above, please get in touch using the enquiry form on our homepage and note that your message concerns your personal data, or reply to any message you receive from your matched installer. We will respond within the timescales set by data protection law.
